Decomposition in a comercial facility according to ASTM D6400 or DIN EN 13432 is less than 6 months.
Fibre web design:
The special web design provide a fine protection for the roots. In some cultures the roots only grow vertically as they do not penetrate the nonwoven membrane.
Recommendation:
The product is widely used for many crops in hydroponic systems. For organic the material must be removed prior to planting into soil. Must not be used as a feedstock in compost for organic production.
Hydroponic and Membrane are approved materials under Washington state department of agriculture organic food program and have been verified to comply with USDA National Organic Standards (7 CFR Part 205).
This award is given after rigorous testing on the material to ensure the material composts properly, is safe to use in the composting process and will not harm the environment.
